| RECRUITMENT PROCESS FOR DCO CANDIDATES |
|
| There are several steps of the recruitment process that candidates experience in order to become a DCO. The candidate is evaluated at each step of the process to determine whether the individual is a good fit, and is then moved to the next appropriate step. |
|
- Submit a statement of interest and résumé
- Complete a questionnaire
- Complete a phone interview
- Observe an In-Competition Testing Session
- Observe an Out-of-Competition (OOC) Testing Session
- Submit an application and application fee of $50
- Submit to and pass a background investigation
- Attend a formal training session
- Meet proficiency levels of the written and practical skills examinations
- Perform a successful Testing Session in the field under supervision
