The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) today announced the hiring of Brad Horn as the organization’s Communications and Media Relations Director.  In his role, Horn will oversee and manage all aspects of USADA’s communications, publications, marketing, branding, advertising and public relations efforts, while serving as the organization’s primary media contact.

“We are thrilled to welcome Brad to the team and to the effort to protect athlete’s rights,” said Travis T. Tygart, Chief Executive Officer for USADA. “We, and those we serve, are fortunate to have him on board.”

Horn brings nearly two decades of sports communications leadership experience to his role at USADA, having previously served in public relations management roles for Major League Baseball’s Texas Rangers, the National Hot Rod Association, the Central Hockey League’s Fort Worth Fire, and most recently, as Vice President for Communications and Education for the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.

“Preserving the integrity of sport, and protecting the rights of clean athletes, represents the ultimate opportunity to create behavior change and reinforce the fundamental values of fair competition,” said Horn. “I’m honored and elated to join an amazing team of professionals who work tirelessly to protect clean athletes and advance educational tools for young athletes to learn and develop through fair play.”

Horn received his master’s degree in Communications Management from Syracuse University and his Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Texas Christian University. He spent the 2016-17 academic year as a graduate teaching assistant and PhD student in Mass Communications at the University of Florida.

Horn assumed his role on September 11. He will be based in Colorado Springs, Colo.
