”As the national anti-doping agency for Olympic sport in the United States, the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) is pleased with the comments from President Bush regarding his call to action for all sports in this nation to join the fight against doping in sport. With the support and dedication of President Bush and the U.S. federal government on this important health and ethical issue, it also reinforces the importance for clean sport at all levels in the United States. With the support of President Bush, it shows that the United States is serious and committed to the fight to eliminate doping in sport and even the playing field.

“USADA appreciates the dedication of the President, as well as the support from the athletes, Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) and U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC) to actively get involved in the fight against doping in sport.”

USADA is responsible for the testing and results management process for athletes in the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Movement, and is equally dedicated to preserving the integrity of sport through research initiatives and educational programs.
