Athletes frequently want to know, “Is testing random?” While it might feel random to athletes, it is not random to USADA. USADA has created a test distribution plan, or TDP, and through this collaborative process, we’re able to identify who we should be testing, how many tests, at what times we should be testing the athletes, what method: urine, blood, dried blood spot, or other WADA collection methods, and what special analysis should occur.
