OK next question, “Can I receive PRP injections?” So, PRP, also known as platelet rich plasma injectdions, falls under a category of medicine known as biologics. PRP injections involve removing a small amount of blood from the athlete, spinning it down in t he doctor’s office, and injecting it back into the injury site. So, PRP is not prohibited as long as no additional growth factors are added to the blood sample. So, you should always check with your doctor to make sure the procedure is in accordance with the rules.
