And they often involve cells harvested from donor patients, for example, from the umbilical cord of mothers during an elective C-section. It’s really difficult to answer this question because the proprietary procedures around these types of off-the-shelf products make it really difficult to know how the cells have been manipulated, and if any additional substances or growth factors have been added, which would make them prohibited.
