So, here’s a great question we frequently see from athletes about dietary supplements. “What is third-party certification for supplements, and does USADA promote any supplements?” So, USADA recommends to athletes to reduce their risk, to use a third-party certified product. What that means is to look for the NSF Certified for Sport mark on supplements. That means the supplements have been tested for prohibited substances. This isn’t a 100 percent foolproof way of reducing your risk to zero, but it is a way to reduce your risk further from using supplement products. An athlete may see a USADA or a WADA mark on a dietary supplement, but neither USADA nor WADA review, endorse, or certify any dietary supplement.

USADA is committed to protecting clean athletes and promoting fair competition. As the official anti-doping agency for the United States, USADA provides education, testing, and resources that empower athletes to compete with integrity and confidence.
