All right, here’s a great question we receive a lot of at USADA regarding, “Are third-party certified CBD products safe to use?” So, CBD is known as cannabidiol. It’s a permitted cannabinoid on the WADA Prohibited List. The challenge with third-party certified CBD products is they may contain other cannabinoids that are prohibited, according to WADA. So for athletes, it’s really buyer beware, and we advise athletes to avoid CBD products altogether. Just in case there’s a chance that they test positive due to the use of these products.

USADA is committed to protecting clean athletes and promoting fair competition. As the official anti-doping agency for the United States, USADA provides education, testing, and resources that empower athletes to compete with integrity and confidence.
