Hi. My name is Jeff Cook. I’m the Chief Legal and Operations Officer here at USADA. And I’m here to answer a few of your questions. The first one we have is, “My friend got an AAF. What is that?” Well, it’s a positive test. Meaning that a prohibited substance or method was detected by the laboratory in your urine or blood sample. It stands for Adverse Analytical Finding. But, at the end of the day, it just means it’s a positive test.

USADA is committed to protecting clean athletes and promoting fair competition. As the official anti-doping agency for the United States, USADA provides education, testing, and resources that empower athletes to compete with integrity and confidence.
