U.S. Weightlifting Athlete Andrew Butterworth Accepts Sanction for Anti-Doping Rule Violation

September 26, 2018 USADA announced today that Andrew Butterworth, of Indianapolis, Ind., an athlete in the sport of weightlifting, has accepted a 42-month sanction for an anti-doping rule violation. Butterworth, 28, tested positive for stanozolol and its metabolites, 3’‐hydroxystanozolol and 16β-hydroxystanozolol, as the result of an out‐of‐competition urine sample he provided on June 7, 2018.
