When your parents own a curling club in your hometown, there’s a good chance you’ll spend much of your childhood learning the sport and getting to know its players…which was exactly the case for Minnesota native Tyler George. He went on to play other sports throughout his youth, but it was in the tight-knit curling community that he felt most at home.

George’s passion, talent, and dedication to the sport led to years of success and all the way to an Olympic gold medal at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang. Even though he has since retired, his love for curling remains and he’s now looking to support the next generation of curlers, as well as other Olympians and Paralympians.

One of the ways he’s doing that is through his role as a USADA Anti-Doping Education Athlete Presenter. With this role, George hopes to help athletes take advantage of the resources available to them and view anti-doping as a shared responsibility that can lead to a level playing field for all athletes.
