Statement from United States Anti-Doping Chief Executive Officer Travis T. Tygart in response to submission of the UNESCO Anti-Doping Convention by President George W. Bush to the United States Senate:

President Bush’s submission of the UNESCO Anti-Doping Convention to the United States Senate underscores our country’s continuing commitment to clean and drug-free sport. American athletes who seek to compete clean have always had strong support from President Bush and the United States Congress, and ratification of this important agreement will further strengthen U.S. efforts in the worldwide fight against doping in sport.

USADA is responsible for the testing and results management process for athletes in the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Movement, and is equally dedicated to preserving the integrity of sport through research initiatives and educational programs.
