How to share whereabouts responsibilities with a support person
This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to share Whereabouts responsibilities with a support person on the Athlete Connect application. By following these steps, athletes can easily add a secondary contact who will have access to their account and help manage their Whereabouts information, ensuring compliance with anti-doping regulations.
1. Open Athlete Connect on your mobile device, computer, or tablet.
2. Click “Profile” in the menu bar.
3. Click the “Secondary Contacts” dropdown.
4. Click the “Add a Secondary Contact” button.
5. Enter the full name of your secondary contact.
6. Click the “Relationship” dropdown and select the appropriate choice.
7. Click the “Email” field to enter your contact’s email address.
8. Click the “Phone Number” field to enter your contact’s phone number.
9. Click the “Account Access” box and click the “Add” button.
10. Read the terms of “Account Access” and click the “Confirm” button. Once confirmed, your secondary contact will receive a welcome email from Athlete Connect with instructions for accessing your account through your own application. It is advised that you make your secondary contact aware so they can monitor their email account for the welcome communication.
11. Click the “Add” button to finalize your new secondary contact.
12. Once you have added your secondary contact, return to the home screen by clicking the “Home” icon.
